Sustainability … Environmental and Economic Sustainability

Sustainability … Environmental and Economic Sustainability is the catch phrase of the decade.

In fact, looking back it is linked to the words Sustainable Development. The fall back definition ofSustainable development (SD) is a pattern of resource use that aims to meet human needs while preserving the environment so that these needs can be met not only in the present, but also for generations to come. The term was used by the Brundtland Commission which coined what has become the most often-quoted definition of sustainable development as development that “meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.”

Sustainability…everyone likes to use the word, maybe too much these days.

Never the less, most is for good, and that can’t hurt too much.  We will focus on issues pertaining to Sustainability, combining the Environmental and EcoNomic issues which we like to call EsatcoNomics(TM).  Please feel free to let us know how we are doing, and where you would like us to explore.
